angina .</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>How TO Use:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Always use this medicine as your doctor or pharmacist has told you.</li>\n<li>Contact a doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure.</li>\n<li>The recommended starting dose is 5 mg Amlodipine once daily.</li>\n<li>The dose can be increased to 10 mg Amlodipine once a day.</li>\n<li>The medicine can be taken before or after food and drink.</li>\n<li>You should take this medicine at the same time each day with a glass of water.</li>\n<li>Do not take Amlodipine with grapefruit juice.</li>\n<li>Use of Amlodipine in children and adolescents</li>\n</ul>\n<p>For children and adolescents (6-17 years):</p>\n<ul>\n<li>The usual recommended starting dose is 2.5 mg daily.</li>\n<li>The maximum recommended dose is 5 mg daily.</li>\n<li>It is important to take the tablets without interruption.</li>\n<li>Do not wait to see your doctor until you have run out of tablets.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>If you take too much Amlodipine:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Contact a doctor, hospital or Poison Information.</li>\n<li>If you have taken too much medicine or if a child has taken medicine by accident.</li>\n<li>For other questions about the medicine, contact your doctor or pharmacist.</li>\n<li>Taking too many tablets can cause your blood pressure to become low and even dangerously low.</li>\n<li>You may feel dizzy, light-headed, weak or weak.</li>\n<li>If the drop in blood pressure is severe enough, shock can occur.</li>\n<li>Your skin may feel cold and clammy and you may lose consciousness.</li>\n<li>See a Amlodipine:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Your doctor will tell you how long to take this medicine.</li>\n<li>Your condition may return if you stop taking the medicine before you are advised to.</li>\n<li>Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions about the use of this medicine.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Warnings And Precautions:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n<li>If you are allergic to amlodipine or any of the other ingredients of this medicine, or to other calcium blockers.</li>\n<li>This can cause itching, redness of the skin or breathing difficulties.</li>\n<li>If you have severe low blood pressure ( hypotension ).</li>\n<li>If you have a narrowing between the heart and the main artery (aortic stenosis) or cardiogenic shock (a condition where the heart is unable to supply the body with enough blood).</li>\n<li>If you have heart failure after an acute heart attack .</li>\n<li>Consult a doctor or pharmacist before using Amlodipine.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>You must inform your doctor if you have or have had any of the following conditions:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Recent heart attack .</li>\n<li>Heart failure.</li>\n<li>Severe increase in blood pressure (hypertensive crisis).</li>\n<li>Liver Other pharmaceutical forms/strengths (e.g. syrup) are available for children aged 4 years and over.</p>\n<p>If your symptoms are not getting better within 2 days of taking your first dose of this medicine, you should see your doctor again, who may want to examine you to further check on the cause of the diarrhea.</p>\n<p></p>\n<p><b>Long-lasting (chronic) diarrhea</b></p>\n<p><b>Adults only:</b></p>\n<p>Your doctor will tell you how much Loperamide to take.</p>\n<ul>\n<li>The initial dose will probably be between two and four tablets per day taken in divided doses, but will depend on each individual's needs. When your doctor is satisfied that you are receiving the daily dose that best suits you, he or she will then probably suggest that you take your tablets twice a day.</li>\n<li>Never take more than 8 tablets in any 24-hour period.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><b>How to store Loperamide</b></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children.</li>\n<li>Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the label or carton after 'EXP'. These may be signs of a severe allergic reaction</li>\n<li>Blistering of your skin, mouth, eyes or genitals</li>\n<li>Stomach pain or severe swollen stomach</li>\n<li>Severe constipation</li>\n<li>Loss of consciousness or reduced level of consciousness (feeling faint)</li>\n</ul>\n<p><b>Other medicines and Loperamide</b></p>\n<p><b>Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking:&nbsp;</b></p>\n<ul>\n<li>ritonavir (used to treat HIV)</li>\n<li>quinidine (used to treat abnormal heart rhythms or malaria)</li>\n<li>itraconazole, ketoconazole (used to treat fungal infections)</li>\n<li>gemfibrozil (used to reduce levels of cholesterol)</li>\n<li>oral desmopressin (used to treat excessive urination)</li>\n<li>other drugs that slow down or speed up movement in the gut</li>\n</ul>\n<p><b>How to take Loperamide</b></p>\n<p><b>Short-lived (acute) diarrhea</b></p>\n<p><b>Adults and children over 12 years:</b></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Take two tablets to begin with and then one tablet after each episode of diarrhea for up to 5 days.</li>\n<li>Never take more than 8 tablets in any 24-hour period.</li>\n</ul>\n<p></p>\n<p><b>Children aged 9-12 years:</b></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Take one tablet 4 times daily until diarrhea is controlled or for up to 5 days.</li>\n<li>Never take more than this dose.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><b>Children aged under 9 years old:</b></p>\n<p>This medicine should not be given to children under 9 years old. Other pharmaceutical forms/strengths (e.g. syrup) are available for children aged 4 years and over.</p>\n<p>If your symptoms are not getting better within 2 days of taking your first dose of this medicine, you should see your doctor again, who may want to examine you to further check on the cause of the diarrhea.</p>\n<p></p>\n<p><b>Long-lasting (chronic) diarrhea</b></p>\n<p><b>Adults only:</b></p>\n<p>Your doctor will tell you how much Loperamide to take.</p>\n<ul>\n<li>The initial dose will probably be between two and four tablets per day taken in divided doses, but will depend on each individual's needs. When your doctor is satisfied that you are receiving the daily dose that best suits you, he or she will then probably suggest that you take your tablets twice a day.</li>\n<li>Never take more than 8 tablets in any 24-hour period.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><b>How to store Loperamide</b></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children.</li>\n<li>Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the label or carton after 'EXP'. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.</li>\n<li>Store in the original package.</li>\n<li>If the tablets become discolored or show any other signs of deterioration, consult your pharmacist who will tell you what to do.</li>\n<li>Do not throw away any medicines via wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to throw away medicines you no longer use. This helps to lower your blood pressure. It also makes it easier for your heart to pump blood to all parts of your body.</p>\n<p>Do not take Lisinopril</p>\n<p>&bull;<span> </span>if you are allergic to lisinopril or any of the other ingredients of this medicine&nbsp;</p>\n<p>&bull;<span> </span>if you have ever had an allergic reaction to another ACE inhibitor medicine.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>&bull;<span> </span>If you have taken or are currently taking sacubitril/valsartan, a medicine used to treat a type of long-term (chronic) heart failure in adults, as the risk of angioedema is increased.</p>\n<p>&bull;<span> </span>if a member of your family has had severe allergic reactions (angioedema) to an ACE inhibitor or you have had severe allergic reactions (angioedema) without a known cause.</p>\n<p>&bull;<span> </span>if you are more than 3 months pregnant.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>&bull;<span> </span>if you have diabetes or impaired kidney function and you are treated with a blood pressure lowering medicine containing aliskiren.</p>\n<p></p>\n<p><b>Warnings and precautions</b></p>\n<p></p>\n<p>Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking lisinopril if you:</p>\n<p></p>\n<p>&bull;<span> </span>have a narrowing (stenosis) of the aorta or a narrowing of the heart valves (mitral valves).</p>\n<p>&bull;<span> </span>have a narrowing (stenosis) of the kidney artery.</p>\n<p>&bull;<span> </span>have an increase in the thickness of the heart muscle.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>&bull;<span> </span>have problems with your blood vessels.</p>\n<p>&bull;<span> </span>have low blood pressure.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>&bull;<span> </span>have kidney problems or you are having kidney dialysis.</p>\n<p>&bull;<span> </span>have liver problems.</p>\n<p>&bull;<span> </span>have diabetes.</p>\n<p>&bull;<span> </span>are taking any of the following medicines used to treat high blood pressure: an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARBs), aliskiren</p>\n<p>&bull;<span> </span>have recently had diarrhoea or vomiting.</p>\n<p>&bull;<span> </span>have high levels of cholesterol and you are having a treatment called &lsquo;LDL apheresis&rsquo;.</p>\n<p>&bull;<span> </span>are of black origin as lisinopril may be less effective.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>&bull;<span> </span>are taking any of the following medicines: temsirolimus, sirolimus, everolimus, vildagliptin.</p>\n<p></p>\n<p><b>Possible side effects&nbsp;</b></p>\n<p></p>\n<p>These include headache, feeling dizzy or light-headed, especially if you stand up quickly, diarrhea, a dry cough that does not go away, being sick (vomiting), kidney problems (shown in a blood test).</p>\n<p></p>\n<p>Other medicines and Lisinopril</p>\n<p></p>\n<p>Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking:&nbsp;</p>\n<p>&bull;<span> </span>Other medicines to help lower your blood pressure.</p>\n<p>&bull;<span> </span>An angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) or aliskiren.</p>\n<p>&bull;<span> </span>Water tablets (diuretic medicines).</p>\n<p>&bull;<span> </span>Beta-blocker medicines, such as atenolol and propranolol.</p>\n<p>&bull;<span> </span>Nitrate medicines (for heart problems).</p>\n<p>&bull;<span> </span>Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) used to treat pain and arthritis.</p>\n<p>&bull;<span> </span>Aspirin (Acetylsalicylic acid), if you are taking more than 3 grams each day.</p>\n<p>&bull;<span> </span>Medicines for depression and for mental problems, including lithium.</p>\n<p>&bull;<span> </span>Potassium supplements.</p>\n<p>&bull;<span> </span>Insulin or medicines that you take by mouth for diabetes.</p>\n<p>&bull;<span> </span>Medicines used to treat asthma.</p>\n<p>&bull;<span> </span>Medicines to treat nose or sinus congestion or other cold remedies (including those you can buy in the pharmacy).</p>\n<p>&bull;<span> </span>Medicines to suppress the body&rsquo;s immune response.</p>\n<p>&bull;<span> </span>Allopurinol (for gout).</p>\n<p>&bull;<span> </span>Procainamide (for heart beat problems).</p>\n<p>&bull;<span> </span>Medicines that contain gold.</p>\n<p></p>\n<p><b>How to take Lisinopril</b></p>\n<p></p>\n<p>Adults</p>\n<p>&bull;<span> </span>For high blood pressure: the recommended starting dose is 10 mg once a day. The usual long-term dose is 20 mg once a day.</p>\n<p>&bull;<span> </span>For heart failure: the recommended starting dose is 2.5 mg once a day. The long-term dose is 5 to 35 mg once a day.</p>\n<p>&bull;<span> </span>After a heart attack: the recommended starting dose is 5 mg within 24 hours of your attack and 5 mg one day later. The usual long-term dose is 10 mg once a day.</p>\n<p>&bull;<span> </span>For kidney problems caused by diabetes: the recommended dose is either 10 mg or 20 mg once a day. If you are elderly, have kidney problems or are taking diuretic medicines your doctor may give you a lower dose than the usual dose.</p>\n<p>Children and adolescents (6 to 16 years old) with high blood pressure</p>\n<p>&bull;<span> </span>This medicine is not recommended for children under 6 years or in any children with severe kidney problems.</p>\n<p>&bull;<span> </span>For children who weigh between 20 kg and 50 kg, the recommended starting dose is 2.5 mg once a day.</p>\n<p>&bull;<span> </span>For children who weigh more than 50 kg, the recommended starting dose is 5 mg once a day.</p>\n<p></p>\n<p><b>How to store Lisinopril&nbsp;</b></p>\n<p></p>\n<p>Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children.</p>\n<p>&bull;<span> </span>Do not use this medicine after the expiry date (EXP) which is stated on the blister strip and the carton.
